"Just when I was contemplating giving up golf completely, because almost every ball drive ended up in the trees on the right-hand side, I had my first lesson with Mark Janes.
Within 3 hits Mark had identified the problem, I then saw the problem on video and Mark then cured it. It really was that simple.
With Mark’s continued help and I support I have maintained the ability to see other areas of the golf course, including the middle of the fairway.
I can now look forward to every game of golf and have become confident that my scores will continue to improve and my handicap will soon be reduced.
I am torn between recommending Mark highly as a teacher and wanting to keep him all to myself – because I know I am more likely to beat anyone who has not experienced a Mark Janes lesson.

Ok so just because we attend University, school or classes don’t mean we will learn anything. Well that has been very true of my golf tuition spread over 9 years of trying to find out why (I’m sure like many of you) I can’t hit that shot I always dream about.
Having had lessons from over 20 Professionals I had remained an 18 handicap player with particular flaws in my Iron play. My biggest frustration had been the ever changing “Pro” at the range or the course, the lack of “True” practice areas and the ever changing techniques from the “Nicklaus Flick to the Monty Fade”.
For the past 14 months I have been attending the “Mark Janes Teaching Academy” and for me I have found my one true Golf Teaching School. The biggest and most critical aspect for me was the Realistic Assessment and understanding of the journey ahead along with a consistent style and approach.
Over the past 3 months I have reduced my handicap to a genuine 14, however the true benefit has been in the level of confidence I feel during play and the knowledge of how to recover when needed.
The teaching style is based on building on what is there and introducing grip, stance, alignment and swing fundamentals that allow you to repeat a flowing swing. The practice drills away from the lessons are again extremely simple, beneficial for building muscle memory and can be practiced at home.
I continue to enjoy my lessons and now working with Mark on other aspects of the game such the short game and with facilities available it allows for the recreation of “game situations” which helps tremendously.
If you are trying to find your game, start by taking a look here it’s a great starting point and I highly recommend it.

We're really pleased, as Elliot got 90% in his Golf GCSE! His teacher said it was an excellent mark for someone who'd only had 6 lessons. There were 11 of them being assessed and his tutor also said that Elliot was the best teacher of them all, as he had a great understanding. So thanks again Oli for all the hard work and effort you've put into Elliot, we really appreciate it and it's great that it's showing in his results now.

I have known Mark for nearly 2 years now, and I can certainly say he has changed my golf game for the better. Mark has great enthusiasm for the game which shows during your lessons which is ideal considering many of us turn up wanting to quit the game.
What I like about his teaching is that it is really easy to understand and put into practice, however this is not the best aspect of having Mark as your coach. In between lessons he is always available to contact for more advice which is great if you’re playing the next day in a competition. For me he has not only been my swing coach but he has also given me advice on what to do next in my golfing career. Mark is the complete all round coach

“Mark has been teaching me now for the past 2 years, helping me to re-model my swing almost completely. Inevitably in such a radical process, there have been some very dark days, but thanks to his patience and hard work (and he has needed plenty of both!), my game is now in the best shape it has ever been.
His technical expertise, excellent analytical work, and his relaxed teaching style have got my handicap down from 19 to 12, and his unfailing good humour has made the whole process thoroughly enjoyable!”

I was given Mark's name by an experienced Golfing Society colleague who advised me that whatever was wrong with my golf game, Mark would sort it out. My colleague having tried different golfing professionals in the past and found Mark to be spot on.
My game at this point had my confidence low and at a stage were I was considering whether to pay my following years annual subscription. I booked a lesson with Mark and the game is now back on course.
Mark is very approachable, good knowledge of the game and clients issues. He sets out a good strategy of improving your game by reviewing your strengths and weakness, and without trying to change too much subtly improves your all round game. He can quickly review your progress at the start of each lesson and he also provides a good summary of the lesson at the end for you to go away with.
His lessons prove the importance of feedback from both practice sessions on the range to taking your game to the course.
I would certainly recommend Mark to any Golfer whether new to the game of an old hand in need of a little tweak here or there.

"I have found Mark to be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher, who never gives me too many things to concentrate on at any one time but adds value each time I see him. He's also fun to work with, which always helps."

"I came to Mark 4 years ago as a rookie golfer. He has patiently transformed my back-swing and helped get my handicap down to 28... Best of all, I really enjoy the lessons - I tend to arrive with a problem and go away feeling I am a golfer!"
