Ian has been playing golf for 20 years, having come into the game late. Ian turned professional in 1994 learning his trade at West Middlesex Golf Club where he gained his PGA qualification in 1997.

Since qualification, Ian embarked on a playing career playing in regional, national and also visiting the European tour qualifying school. While most of his time was taking up playing, Ian has always shown a passion for teaching and managed to develop his teaching skills over the years at various golfing establishments, which included Ealing Golf Range, Sudbury Golf Club and more recently Luton Golf Centre.

Ian also has developed his skills further by attending various seminars and conferences, Ian is a registered NLP sports practitioner, which covers the mind element of the game and is looking to develop this side further. Ian has most recently added CGFI Level 1 certification (Certified Golf Fitness Instructor) to his ever expanding resume of self-development, through attending the Titliest performance institute seminar.

I have learnt a lot about the game through attending these seminars and will continue to do so as I have a thirst for knowledge and developing my skills, not only so that I can improve my own teaching skills, but most importantly to improve my pupils golf game quickly and efficiently.

My approach to the game is very holistic which covers all aspects of the game. My ambition is to become one of the top coaches in the country and I look forward to achieving this goal working for the Mark Janes Golf Academy and also with a young dynamic and enthusiastic team who are continually developing their skills and knowledge.
