Welcome to the 'Virtual Golf Academy'.
The Mark Janes Golf Academy not only provides the very best
golf lessons, instruction and
corporate entertainment, based at the Chessington Golf Center,
( or a club of your choice! ) but also over the Internet
as
well.
This
is a unique and exciting service, enabling golfers of all standards,
where ever they are in the world, an opportunity to receive
year round consistent golf coaching. It also makes a great,
original and very useful present. All you need is access
to a video camera and some reasonable weather!
Simply send in a video of yourself - using the video guide here
- and the Mark Janes Golf Academy will carry out an assessment
on the Astar system and return to you your VHS cassette containing
an in-depth analysis. You will receive excellent coaching and
video analysis with helpful comparisons alongside top tour Professionals
to help you to visualise and understand your swing.
In addition to your analysis, you will be given custom practice
drills and objectives. These will be designed to help you to
improve your technique and give you a long term solution and
strategy to your golfing problems - and without leaving your
home or office!
Our charge for a standard analysis using your supplied VHS tape
is £12 Sterling. Postage and Packing charges are: UK £2.50
- Europe - £3.50 - US £4.50.

(drawn on a UK bank).
Upon
receipt of cleared funds we will carry out the analysis and
send you your VHS assessment.
A
guide to recording your video sample
In order for us to give you the best analysis possible, please
note the following angles required for filming:
- We
require 3 swings from each viewpoint. Please dont necessarily
film just your best shots, as the poorer options may give
valuable pointers to a fault.
- Please
make sure that the club head is visible in both the views
whilst trying to crop the target - you! - as closely as possible.
- Finally,
please ensure that you are as square to the camera as possible.
On
the left hand side you can see how the video should be aligned
from the front-on view. On the Right hand side is the correct
alignment for the rear view.
N.B.
To enable us to provide as detailed, extensive
and helpful analysis as possible, please provide as much of the
following information as you can. This will help us to gain a
little history about your game and make our assessment as accurate
as possible. Please print this form off and send it, along with
your VHS cassette and appropriate payment to us at the contact
address.
