Bridger – Instructor
PGA Qualified Professional
Mark Janes Golf Academy
Tom has been playing golf since the age of 8 and has always
shown a great enthusiasm and passion for this great game.
Playing all his amateur golf at Tyrrells Wood in Leatherhead,
representing them at all levels and living around this area
all his life, has enabled Tom to build a fine reputation
firstly as a amateur club member and now as a first class
golf professional.
Having started his professional golf career at Pachesham
Golf Centre in 2001, Tom learnt a great deal about working
with the public and the importance of customer service and
communicating on an individual level with his clients. Tom
has taken these skills to the lesson tee and has built a
fine reputation for providing a personal, simple and effective
approach to his coaching. In 2005 Tom joined the team at
MJGA, in order to take his coaching to a new level and develop
his skills as part of a leading team of like minded professionals.
Since then Tom has qualified as a PGA Golf Professional
and has taught a broad range of golfers from Juniors and
Beginners through to single figure handicaps.
Tom’s continued development includes attending in
house training with Mark and also travelling to many varied
teaching seminars hosted by the worlds leading professionals.
Tom is also involved with Mark’s Gainmore Golf Mind
Advantage and Chi Power Golf programmes and has enrolled
on a Bio-Mechanics course, again showing his desire to continuously
develop his skill base.
“I enjoy coaching players of all abilities and helping
them to play to their true potential. My passion is to get
more players started playing golf and by giving them good
foundations and solid fundamentals, they will enjoy their
golf for many years to come and spread the word. There is
more to golf then just physically swinging the golf club,
there are other areas that need to be addressed to complete
the whole package and truly improve your golf.’ Because
of this, I want to continue developing my skills and working
with Mark on our new projects and attending seminars with
him really helps to achieve this growth. I feel the more
I can learn about the way the body works and the mechanics
of the swing, the more I can help improve each and every
golfers game”
