Oli Tucker - Instructor

Oli’s pathway into professional golf is quite unique. After a youth spell in football with Fulham FC, he continued to play semi-professional until 2 years ago when he began to focus on golf. He is now a competent golfer playing off 4 and is training as a PGA professional.

His coaching career began at Brentford FC where he continues to coach part time at the Centre of Excellence. Oli is a UEFA licensed coach and has specialised in youth development since graduating from Brunel University in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Sciences.

Upon focusing on golf, his natural coaching instincts guided him to junior golf coaching through tri and extreme golf in schools following the completion of his activators workshop. He was among the first group of people to complete the new PGA level 1 qualification and was at the time, the only non-professional to complete the course.

Oli’s work as a tutor, coach and development consultant has focused on:

• FUNdamentals of Movement – Agility, Balance and Coordination (ABCs)

• Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD)
  
  
• Coaching and Learning Environments

He is currently supporting teachers and parents, offering workshops in the above titles and many more.

Oli will be leading the new junior development programme at MJGA
